Session Abstract | ||
The 2021 WEEF/GEDC meeting is proud to continue to uplift the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 – Gender Equality, and SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, by bringing the IFEES/GEDC “Rising to the Top” book series on global women engineering leaders to the 2021 conference venue. IFEES/GEDC says the following about the series: “For innovations to continue to evolve, it’s necessary to balance gender representation in the field and ensure engineering advancements include all members of society. Rising to the Top provides an intimate and inspiring look into the experiences that have shaped the lives and careers of women engineering leaders from around the world, from Sudan to Chile to Malaysia, and many points in between.” Today’s session will feature women engineering leaders from these volumes, and will have representation from various parts of the world.
