This block of three educational panels aims to share experiences in teaching students European politics by academics and teachers from European Studies. There is a ubiquitous pressing need to tackle students' digital distraction, growing AI usage by students, and the post-pandemic need for more interactive teaching. Teaching in such conditions is becoming more demanding than ever before. This panel will be open for UACES conference attendees to join and present the educational methods they use in their classrooms to engage students in innovative ways to learn about European politics.
The first panel serves as a forum for exchanging ideas and establishing a network of European Studies teachers who wish to work on possible joint educational projects. It will give an opportunity for the sharing of experiences and presentations of educational methods by panel members. This could include using games and simulations, quizzes, group work methodologies, and preparing teaching materials for educational platforms. It will also give a chance to discuss future joint projects, which could include educational workshops, collaborative projects, working on summer school methodologies or designing educational games or simulations. The second and third panels will serve as an opportunity to play educational games by teachers and panel attendees.
