In this panel we will present the recently published UACES Report "Sound of Silence: EDI in the European Studies Canon" and discuss its implications for European Studies scholarship. As we consider the report to be a starting point of a wider disucssion on the state of our discipline that seeks to open a space fo constructive engagement with different forms of knowledge and pathways for understanding social, political and economic processes that construct the idea of Europe, we will use this panel to discuss with participants the lessons drawn form this report. We hope to spark a discussion on how we as editors and contirbutors to textbooks and handbooks can diversify our discipline.
