You have an idea - as specific or vague as may be - for a book project? And you would really like to see your work published and widely read, but have some questions, uncertainties or other roadblocks standing between you and that goal? This workshop-style non-traditional panel aims to identify, deconstruct and help its participants solve such issues, bringing their individual dream projects of a book closer to reality. It is organised by the two editors of the new De Gruyter series 'Europe under Strain', Daniel Schade (Leiden University) and Mechthild Roos (University of Augsburg), and invites scholars at all career stages, all stages in the research process of their respective projects, and regardless of if they are pursuing a single or multi-authored publication. The workshop will cover some basics about the book publication process and provide behind-the scenes insights, but most importantly will be open to your questions and concerns, as well as discussing your own book projects and how to get them published.
