Despite being one of the most visible (and fraught) parts of teaching & learning, assessment gets relatively little attention. The need to reflect increasingly varied learning environments or to deal with the arrival of AI systems such as ChatGPT provide just two examples. That means missed opportunities to consider how we might do things differently and more effectively or efficiently. In this workshop session, contributors will look at different techniques and practices, as well as the relationship with the rest of teaching & learning, before working through ideas with participants that reflect their particular situations.
