The SMT Music and Philosophy Interest Group will host a panel of short papers responding to the query: "What are the prospects for theorizing the world beyond music in ways that remain distinctly music-theoretical?" The meeting (which is open to and welcomes all!) will open with an introduction by the interest group chairs that covers business and summarizes recent publications relevant to the query, followed by short papers and a discussion. At the end of the meeting, links to vote on nominees for the incoming chairs will be circulated. The CfP, nominations, and other IG business are advertised on facebook and SMT-announce.
