1) Introduction & Icebreaker (15 minutes)
• Welcome remarks by Datu Dr Hajjah Rashidah Haji Bolhassan, the
Deputy Chairman, Sarawak State Library Board of Management.
• Short sharing on Sarawak and Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage.
• Short briefing on the workshop sections activities.
2) Section 1: Basic Beads Craft Workshop
• Demonstration on Sarawak’s traditional beads making by Mr. Stevenson
Racha Ipoi, Business Event Sarawak.
• Hands-on activity for participants to create a simple bracelet or necklace.
3) Section 2: Traditional Attire Showcase & Try-on
• Introduction of traditional clothing of Sarawak by Mr. Wan Mazli Wan
Razali, Ms Hayati Haji Sabil, and Ms Dayangku Horiah Awang Gani,
Sarawak State Library.
• Participants will take part in the activity of wearing selected traditional
attire and capturing photos.
4) Section 3: Traditional Game
• Quick demonstration of Congkak and Seremban game by Ms Norsuriaty
Awang Hassim and Ms Kaszilawati Binti Kasman, National Archives of Malaysia.
• Participants will take part in a simple Congkak and Seremban game
competition.
5) Reflection & Sharing (15 minutes)
• Participants share what they have learned.
• Closing remarks by Encik Zaidin Bin Mohd Noor, Director General of
National Archives of Malaysia and group photo.
