Problem Statement and Purpose
Human resources are considered as the basis for any organization’s success because of its main role in achieving the goals and strategies. The achievement of continuous organizational growth and development is linked to the presence of an effective human capitals, so it is necessary to train employees continuously to achieve a high level of job performance in their workplace (Prayuda & Yunita, 2021). Training is an integral part of the success of any organization, as training plays an important role in the advancement of the employee and the organization in which he/she works. Training is also a deliberate and designed intervention to achieve the necessary learning to improve employee performance by developing employee’s skills, competence and capabilities, which leads to increased productivity and improved organizational performance in general (Arimuthukumar, 2019).
The Palestinian National School of Administration (PNSA) plays a pivotal role in shaping public administration in Palestine. This paper explores and aims to understand how PNSA can enhance governmental capabilities and promote sustainable development by improving training methodologies and building high skilled qualified trainers and policy initiatives.
Methodology
This paper utilizes a case study approach to examine the role of PNSA in building capacity and promoting sustainable development. The case study approach allows for an in-depth exploration of the practices, policies and impact of PNSA in the context of public administration and sustainable development.
Findings
The main findings highlight that PNSA plays a crucial role in building the capacity of competent civil servants equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills through various programs for all administrative levels. In addition to the international training programs implemented for different countries at PNSA. It also emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainability principles into all levels of public administration.
Proposals
Strengthening PNSA curricula with modules focused on sustainable development and competencies is suggested to enhance these findings. Besides, PNSA cooperation with international organizations and creating a research center for policy making in the PNSA are other necessary steps towards this end. These actions are geared towards equipping future government officials with essential capabilities for dealing with intricate issues of sustainability.
