The Palestinian National School of Administration (PNSA) plays a pivotal role in shaping public administration in Palestine. This paper explores and aims to understand how PNSA can enhance governmental capabilities and promote sustainable development by improving training methodologies and building high skilled qualified trainers and policy initiatives.

The case study approach allows for an in-depth exploration of the practices, policies and impact of PNSA in the context of public administration and sustainable development.

Findings

The main findings highlight that PNSA plays a crucial role in building the capacity of competent civil servants equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills through various programs for all administrative levels. In addition to the international training programs implemented for different countries at PNSA. It also emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainability principles into all levels of public administration.

Proposals

Strengthening PNSA curricula with modules focused on sustainable development and competencies is suggested to enhance these findings. Besides, PNSA cooperation with international organizations and creating a research center for policy making in the PNSA are other necessary steps towards this end. These actions are geared towards equipping future government officials with essential capabilities for dealing with intricate issues of sustainability.
