With the participation of the group: Rancho Folclórico Flor do Alto Alentejo

Rancho Folclórico Flor do Alto Alentejo is a traditional Alentejo dance and music group from the beautiful World Heritage city of Évora. It was born out of a Christmas party at the Évora Hospital and first performed on 26 April 1981. Since then, it has performed all over the country and has also taken part in various television programmes and received the Medal of Merit for Culture awarded by the Municipality of Évora.

The Rancho performs the traditional dances of the Alentejo, such as the Chotiças, Saias and Puladinhos. Unlike Cante Alentejano, which is slow and nostalgic, the dances are lively and fast. The members of the group - youth pairs and children's pairs - perform in traditional costumes: Shepherd, Sunday and work costumes, such as Ceifeiro, Mondadeiro and Aguadeiro (daily and professional tasks) performed by villagers. The musical group includes accordion, reco-reco, timbalão, ferrinhos, pitcher and tambourine.
