The workshop builds on and extends the 2021 workshop to strengthen the ASIS&T AI community by bringing together researchers, educators, students, and practitioners interested in designing AI applications and conducting AI research in the LIS field. This workshop covers a wide range of topics including AI applications, solutions, empirical research findings, and perspectives in library and information environments. The participants will discuss lessons learned from designing AI applications and solutions in the context of library and information environments and work together to brainstorm potential solutions for making AI more effective and transferable for library users. Through the World Café method (i.e., collaborative dialogue with rotating multiple breakout sessions that build on each other so that issues are considered in-depth) and plenary discussion, participants will generate advanced AI solutions and research agendas for future investigations. Additional registration fee applies.
